Bankrate.com recently came out with a list of 6 vehicles that work well with dogs. It’s fun to check out lists like this and see the benefits of each car when it comes to taking your dog along for the ride. The comment section also has several suggestions from people based on their own experiences with vehicles.
Here are the six recommended from the article:
2014 GMC Acadia
2013 Volvo XC70 3.2
2013 Kia Soul
2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser
2013 Mazda5 Sport
2013 Dodge Journey AVP
They liked those for a variety of reasons including cargo space, under seat storage ability, and one had a lower profile which helped dogs get in and out of the car easier.
In the comment section several people listed their own vehicles that they have used with their dogs and been pleased with. Some of these include:
Subaru Outback (several people liked this one)
Land Rover Discovery
(One commenter made the funny comment, “I like my Smart Car because my dog can reach the pedals and still see over the dashboard.”)
Whatever vehicle you have, make sure to research how to make your pet’s ride safe using proper pet restraint systems.
